ai-me

Free AI readiness check

Can an AI answer from your website?

AI search and website assistants answer from what they can read on your pages. Enter your address, and we check your homepage for the signals they rely on: text in the HTML, robots.txt rules for AI bots, a sitemap, structured data, language tags and llms.txt.

Free. Results on this page. Indicators only: not an SEO audit, not a security audit.

AI answers now come in Arabic too

In October 2025, Google started rolling out AI Mode in Google Search in Arabic, alongside dozens of other languages.

AI companies also split their bots by job. OpenAI uses OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search and GPTBot for training, and says each robots.txt setting is independent. Anthropic runs ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User for different purposes. A rule written for one bot may not do what you expect for the others.

This is not a claim that passing this check puts your site into AI answers, or that ai-me works with Google, OpenAI or Anthropic.

Sources

Three ways a website goes unread

  • Text that only appears after scripts run

Some crawlers read the HTML without running JavaScript; ai-me's own crawler is one of them. If your text is built by scripts, they see an almost empty page.

  • A robots.txt rule that blocks more than intended

A rule meant to keep your content out of AI training can also shut out the bots that fetch pages for AI search or for a person's question.

  • Answers on pages nobody finds

Without a sitemap or a clear page structure, the page that answers a question is hard to find, for a visitor and for a crawler alike.

What the check looks at

Thirteen signals from four public files: your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt. We fetch each one once, as ai-me-bot.

Then let your own website answer

ai-me is an assistant for your website. It answers visitors from your own pages and documents.

  • Answers only from your content

Every answer links the passage it came from.

  • Says when it doesn't know

A question your content doesn't cover gets an honest “I don't have that information” and lands in your inbox. Answer it once, and the assistant knows it from then on.

  • Built from your sitemap

Upload Markdown, text, CSV or JSON files, add page URLs, or point it at your sitemap and let it re-crawl on a schedule you set.

  • Arabic and English

For Arabic, the widget turns right-to-left and answers in Arabic.

  • Free plan, no card

One assistant, 200,000 platform tokens a month, 500 knowledge chunks and 10 requests a minute.

How it works

  1. Enter your website and your email.
  2. We fetch four public files from your website, once each.
  3. You see the results on this page, and we email you a summary.
  4. If you want, create a free ai-me assistant from your sitemap.

Questions

What exactly does the check fetch?

Your homepage, /robots.txt, /sitemap.xml and /llms.txt, once each, with the user agent ai-me-bot. Nothing else, and only from public addresses.

Is this an SEO or security audit?

No. It shows indicators from what your website shows the public. It makes no promise about rankings or about appearing in AI answers.

If I block GPTBot, does my site disappear from ChatGPT search?

OpenAI says its robots.txt settings are independent: GPTBot controls training, and OAI-SearchBot controls ChatGPT search. The check shows both groups separately.

What is llms.txt?

A proposal from 2024 for a short Markdown file that helps AI agents use a website. It is optional and not a standard, so the check only reports it for your information.

Does ai-me need my site to pass the check?

No. You can also upload files. When ai-me reads your pages, it reads the HTML without running scripts, and its scheduled sitemap crawl follows robots.txt for ai-me-bot, so the same signals help.

What happens to my details?

We store your name, email, website and the result to send you the summary and follow up on your request, and delete them after 12 months at the latest. Details are in the privacy policy.

What does it cost?

The check is free. The ai-me free plan is one assistant with no card and no trial period.
